Eddie Vedder Fulfills 20 Year Old Promise to a Fan!

It's a touching story and one that doesn't happen too often. Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam recently came through on a promise he made to a fan 22 years ago. The promise, a simple picture with fan Joe Wolfe who in 1992 ran into Vedder at a movie theater while Pearl Jam was in town for a show. Wolfe describes the encounter...

 “I ran into [Vedder] and the band when they all went to the theater to see ‘Wayne’s World.’ There weren’t camera phones back then and he said he would do a picture with me the next time I saw him.”

 

So when Wolfe ran into Vedder again this year at a show in Cincinnati he explained his story to the front man who at that moment decided not to take the pic....but thats not where the story ends! Of course as you see Vedder does end up taking the picture with Wolfe and even threw in an autograph and a guitar pick but check out why Vedder refused the first photo opp in the below video...Vedder recaps the encounter (1:37 mark) why he didn't take the picture!
