Many small businesses live and die by customer reviews, and here in the Hudson Valley at least one entrepreneur is pushing back against some of his most passionate haters.
There seems to be two types of reviews on the Internet: honest, and extreme. Honest reviews usually contain measured opinions that are shared with hopes of educating the public. Extreme reviews are, well... extreme.

Extreme reviews can of course go one of two ways, and both should be taken with a grain of salt. Over-the-top praise in 5-star reviews can often be just as inflated as the vitriol of 1-star reviews. It's the negative reports, however, that can spell doom for a business.
