End is the band’s seventh studio album and their first release in seven years, which they have described as their “grandest” album yet. Known for their powerful crescendos, emotional hooks and unique instrumental discography, Explosions in the Sky have achieved great commercial success, selling more than 1.3 million copies over six studio albums and landing 5 major motion picture deals. Most notably, they composed the majority of the soundtrack for Peter Berg’s Friday Night Lights (2004) and have most recently composed the soundtrack for Netflix’s, American Primeval (2025).
