Nancy Smith: Murdered in New Windsor, NY in 2001

On December 5th, 2001, Nancy Smith failed to show up to work that day and several family members reached out to her with no answer.

This was unlike her as she was very close to her family, and spoke to her mother the night before.

According to the New York State Police, 32-year-old Nancy Smith was found murdered in her New Windsor home later that day. Smith was found with multiple stab wounds by family members around 1:30 pm.

Since her untimely death the New York State Police, New Windsor Police and the FBI have been searching for answers to close this case.

After 24 years the continue to investigate and now they're offering a hefty reward.

Authorities Offer $50K Reward For Details in New Windsor Cold Case

On the 24th anniversary of Nancy Smith's murder, the New York State Police shared on social media that they are still looking for answers.

The New York State Police write "Investigators have continued to pursue every lead, using advanced DNA, forensic, and investigative techniques in an effort to bring answers to her loved ones".

A $50,000 reward is being offered "For information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of Nancy Smith."
