If you live in Dutchess or Putnam Counties, here's where you'll find firework celebrations near you.

After a year of fireworks being canceled due to the pandemic, this year some of the celebrations are returning, and according to hvparent.com, here's where you'll find July 4th celebrations in and around Dutchess and Putnam Counties.

Now not all the celebrations will be returning this year, some have once again been canceled, modified, or will again be held virtually.

Putnam County

If you're looking for the annual Southeast Fireworks Display, it will not be happening this year, however the Kent fire department will hold its annual fireworks show at Lake Carmel on June 26 at sundown. The rain date has been scheduled for July 10.

Dutchess County

East Fishkill will hold a concert followed by fireworks at the Hopewell Recreation Park Pavillion starting at 7 PM on July 2 followed by fireworks at 9:15 PM.

In Wappingers there will be a movie night (National Treasure) followed by fireworks at Dutchess Stadium on July 3 starting at 6:30 PM. Parking at Dutchess Stadium is limited to 500 cars.

The cities of Poughkeepsie and Kingston will not be having fireworks this year, however you can catch fireworks in Montgomery on July 17 at Thomas Bull Memorial Park. Gates open at 4 PM with the fireworks starting at dusk.
