Free Egg McMuffins at McDonalds Today (12/16)

There's nothing better than a free breakfast.

As we all prepare for the Hudson Valleys first big snow storm, one thing that will make us all smile on a day when we really need it, is grabbing some free breakfast and the folks over at McDonalds are giving us all a chance to do just that.

According to Thrillist, McDonalds started giving us all a chance to grab free menu items on Monday December 14th, and those free giveaways will continue for the next few days, including TODAY (12/16) were we can grab a free egg mcmuffin.

The food freebies are to celebrate some of our favorite pop culture holiday icons. Icons like, Frosty the Snowman, Buddy the Elf, and even Frank Costanza from Seinfeld. McDonalds has matched up a certain menu item with each character like today(12/16) they are celebrating the Grinch and that means a free egg mcmuffins for everyone.

To get the freebies, all you need to do is make a $1 purchase on the McDonalds app and the free food is yours. So is it really FREE, when we have to make a purchase? For me its a deal, so I'm in, but if you don't want to spend anything, the final food giveaway won't require the $1 purchase and will happen on Christmas Eve, December 24th. Everyone will get free soft baked chocolate chip cookies to celebrate Santa.

Some of the other giveaways this week include, free McDoubles on December 17th, celebrating Die Hard’s John McClaine, free fries to celebrate Rudolph on December 18th, and free McNuggets on December 19th in honor of Gizmo. All of the holiday food giveaways are at participating McDonalds.
