A Georgia man who was wanted in Massachusetts was found in Orange County after an accident on Interstate 84.

On Friday around 12:15 p.m., State Police in Middletown were sent to I-84 west at mile marker 25.0 for a reported two-car collision. As troopers checked the license of one of the drivers, 50-year-old Reginald Cole of Hephzibah, Georgia, officials learned Cole was listed as a fugitive from the commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Cole was wanted by the Pittsfield Police Department in Massachusetts for possession of cocaine, police say.

Cole was placed under arrest. He was arraigned in Town of Wallkill Justice Court and committed to Orange County Jail pending extradition to Massachusetts.
