Last week we introduced you to some awesome ideas to dress up your fur-babies for the upcoming Halloween celebrations.  Maybe you are bringing your pup to a local Halloween parade and need to impress the townspeople with your DIY costume making skills? Or, you have a cat that likes to sit and watch the trick-or-treaters all decked out in a ridiculously cute costume?

As for me, I just have too much spare time on my hands and apparently like to endure physical pain after .286 seconds of "awww, how cute do you look in your costume" moments.

I bought this New York Yankees cat costume a bunch of years back, and every year I tried to get my misunderstood (read: very moody) cat, Melky Cabrera (named pre drug suspension) in the costume.  Well, I was successful just once, and ended up with puncture wounds, scratches, and a screeching cat running through my house knocking things over.

I was putting my Halloween decorations out last weekend and found her  costume - my little Melky crossed the rainbow bridge back in May - so after I had a good cry, I decided to see how much fun it would be to dress up the newly adopted cats in her costume.

I only managed to get the full getup on one of the 2 cats, the kitten came around the corner, saw what I was putting on her mom, and ended up hiding for a few hours after that.  Momma cat ran so fast out of the room, the costume stayed still, ended up on the floor, as she ran right through it.

Will you be dressing your pets up this year, and if yes, as what?

P.S. - Let's Go Yankees!
