Video Of New Woodbury Commons Store Front Has Hudson Valley Buzzing

While scrolling late one night on TikTok, as one does, I came across a video that was a extremely local.

Whenever I see a local video pop up on my For You Page it's always a shock since TikTok has the most random algorithm ever. I digress.

The video, however, was from a new store front at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Monroe, New York. The content creator doatdisneyandbeyond shared a quick snippet of what looks like a Haribo store front.

Haribo, of course, is the popular company behind the delicious Haribo gummy bears and the hilarious commercials.

The most interesting part of the TikTok is the fact that the sign states that this will be "The First Haribo Shop in the U.S."

So we did some digging.

Where Are Haribo Gummy Bears Created?

It's hard to believe that Haribo gummy bears don't currently have a store front in the United States given how popular gummy bears are.

Haribo gummy products were originally made at a factory in Bonn, Germany. Later, in 2018 Haribo's main operations relocated to Grafschaft, Germany.

With that being said, as Haribo gained even more popularity in the U.S., the candy company decided to break ground on their first ever manufacturing facility in America. 

Construction began back in December 2020 in Kenosha County in Wisconsin. The facility was up and running by July 2023. Their website writes:

 The brand-new, state-of-the-art factory was created to meet the growing demand by American consumers of the beloved gummi brand, which produces over 25 varieties of gummi treats for the U.S. and more than 1,200 types globally.

But there were no original storefronts dedicated to the delicious snack. Until now.

Is Haribo Opening It's First U.S. Shop in The Hudson Valley?

It looks as though the Woodbury Commons Haribo storefront will indeed be the first of it's kind in America.

The Woodbury Commons website writes "Step into the happy world of HARIBO and discover a colorful destination for gummi candy lovers of all ages."

It will have an exclusive Pick 'n Mix station with Goldbears, Twin Snakes, Peaches, Goldbears Wild Berry and other popular flavors.

There will also be Haribo "treats & merchandise available only" at the Woodbury Commons location.

They add that this location is set to open on July 1st, 2026.
