If you haven't been paying attention to the news, Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison.

The former film producer was convicted back in February of committing a Criminal Sexual Act in the first degree and third-degree rape and it was announced today that he will be spending 23 years behind bars.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Weinstein was given "20 years in prison plus five years of supervised release. On the other convicted charge, third-degree rape, he was given three years in prison."

Initial reports stated that Weinstein would be spending time on Rikers Island in New York City. However, Weinstein's attorney Donna Rotunno says he will "likely" be spending time at Fishkill Correctional Facility due to the hospital on the premises.

Rotunno adds that Weinstein suffers from a "multitude of medical issues, there are lists of things that are physically wrong with him and are serious."

Mimi Haleyi, Jessica Mann, Annabella Sciorra, Dawn Dunning, Tarale Wulff, and Lauren Young testified against Weinstein in court, recounting stories of harassment, abuse and rape.

The Daily Mail reported that after sentencing, Weinstein was brought to Downstate Correctional, which is also located in Fishkill. He will receive a medical evaluation before ultimately being sent to either Fishkill or Coxsackie Correctional Facility, which also has a medical unit.
