Once this rain passes, you may want to plan on checking out this popular Hudson Valley trail. Especially when the leaves start to change and fall, it will look very familiar.

Have you seen the movie A Quiet Place yet? If you have, which I'm sure many of you have considering how well it did at the box office, then this trail will bring back some painful memories of the quiet film.

A Quiet Place was filmed at several different locations around the Hudson Valley. One of them being the old railroad bridge on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail. Which you can see in the official movie trailer above.

I'm not going to spoil it for you, but there's a pretty important scene that takes place right by the bridge in the first 10 minutes that set the pace for the movie.

According to OnlyInYourState.com, the Wallkill Valley Railroad was used to ship goods down from Ulster County to New York City and ran until 1977.

The bridge is located nearby Springtown Road in New Paltz.

Have you hiked the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail? Will you visit now because of its new fame? If you plan on hiking the trail check out the official Wallkill Valley Rail Trail map here.
