If you have been looking for ways to give back to your community or you have always wanted to volunteer for something but don't feel that you have enough time, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Dutchess County Office for the Aging is looking for volunteer drivers to help make deliveries for their Home Delivered Meals program.  The need is greater in the eastern/southeastern parts of the county, including the towns of Pawling, Union Vale, and Amenia. Even if you don't live in that part of the county, there is always a need for substitute drivers and volunteer drivers throughout.

Meals are delivered Monday through Thursday and you would be reimbursed for mileage. If you're interested, simply complete this form or call 845-486-2555.

Other communities throughout the Hudson Valley also have Meals on Wheels programs to help senior citizens throughout our area. They too are always looking for volunteers and you can find more information here about these programs in Poughkeepsie, Orange County, Sullivan County, and Ulster County.
