High School Club Makes Great Donation To Animal Rescue
As we get closer to the end of the school year, I am confident we will be seeing more stories like the one I discovered yesterday on a social media page of a Pet Rescue I hold near and dear to my heart.
Burke Catholic High School Student Club Donates to Animal Rescue
Pets Alive in Middletown, New York, is the rescue group that, back in 2009, introduced me to My Dog Minnie Pearl. Pearl may not be playing in the front yard anymore; she crossed the Rainbow Bridge last October, but not a week goes by that I don't think about how lucky I was to find Pets Alive and then find my Minnie Pearl.
Pets Alive continues to help pets find their forever homes, and this week a Hudosn Valley High School helped Pets Alive with always welcome and often much-needed supplies. The Interact Club at John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen made a generous donation to Pets Alive of food, cozy blankets, and toys for the many animals that call that their current home.

If you are not familiar with an Interact Club, no worries, I actually had to dig on the internet myself, and I discovered the answer. The Interact Club at John S. Burke Catholic High School provides opportunities for people ages 12 to 18 to develop leadership skills. It is a student-led service organization sponsored by the local Rotary Club.
The club does projects throughout the year, and this donation to Pets Alive, I assume, was one of those projects.
