Home Town Band “Against The Current” Drops First Single on National Label

The record label Fueled By Ramen is killing it lately. Home to Panic! At The Disco, Vinyl Theatre, twenty one pilots and countless others (and original home of The RX Bandits who are awesome), these guys have some huuuuuuuuuuge hits on their hands.

And they might be getting one more.

Against The Current will release their debut album on May 20th through Fueled By Ramen, and just released their first single "Running With The Wild Things". They're smack in the middle of the female lead singer, guitars that go from clean to super fuzzy in a heartbeat, and hyper drums that are KILLING it lately.

AND THEY'RE FROM POUGHKEEPSIE.

These guys have got it. This single is on effing point. It hits at the right points. It's got the perfect electronic counterpoints to the portions between the chorus and the verse, the guitar gets wispy with the vocals on the pre-chorus, and they both crash back into the drumline. The pace is perfect. The balance is excellent.
