How to Delete Your Info From Family Tree Now Website

This is a bit unsettling, but so are a lot of things we find on the internet.

The world is literally at our finger tips. If we want to find out specific information we most likely head to Google and type in what we need and boom. It shows up. Unfortunately, pretty much everything is on the internet including your personal information. There is a website called Family Tree Now that has for some unknown reason all of the places you've lived in in the past and your current address.

If you'd like to remove your name from this website follow these steps:

1.  Go to FamilyTreeNow.Com
2. Type in your name/ information.
3. Click on your name and scroll down to the bottom of the page a select PRIVACY.
4. You will be redirected to a Privacy Policy page. Scroll down to Opt Out of Living People Records. Click on the blue hyper link that says "Opt Out Here."
5. You'll then confirm your not a robot, and search your name again.
6. Finally you will see a red box with an "x" that says Opt Out This Record. Click it.
7. Give up to 48 hours for your information to be taken down.

It made me feel a little better that I was able to delete all my personal information off the site. You never who could use this information against you, so if you're like me and would rather be safe then sorry delete your information from this site when you have the chance.
