One of the coolest festivals of the entire year is back this weekend at Hunter Mountain. Yes, Mountain Jam, a three-day extravaganza of music, camping, food, and hippies is making its triumphant return. There's a great lineup of artists this year that includes Alt-J, Sturgill Simpson, Jack Johnson, The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Alice Merton, Rag N' Bone Man, and so many more that I do not have the time to write out.

But if you're going for all three days, it is undeniably a long and sometimes exhausting weekend. Here's some tips to help you survive.

- Sunscreen. Seriously, use all of it. I got burned last year, I'm sure I'll get burned again this year, but try to get ahead of the sun on this one.

- Drink a lot of water. Keeping hydrated is important, especially when you're out in the sun for three days straight screaming along to music.

- Maybe shower or something? You are not the only one on the mountain, but your stench ensures you soon will be, ya smelly weirdo. At the very least, wipe yourself down with a sponge or something.

- Find the truck that sells empanadas. Trust me, they're delicious.

And now you're prepared to take on Mountain Jam! We'll see you there!
