Whenever I participate, volunteer, or emcee for a local non-profit organization, I always look at the businesses who have either donated their time, expertise, or money to the cause. These are the businesses I will go to first, because they are giving back to our community, helping where it's needed here at home.

I have been the producer of our local, public service show, "In Touch," since the late '90s and it was my pleasure to have had Jeffrey Feldman on the program to talk about causes and issues that he was passionate about, namely the Lagrange Soccer Club and the special needs program for children and adults. Mr. Feldman is a founding partner of Feldman, Kleidman, Coffey, Sappe & Regenbaum LLP in Fishkill and both he and his firm are great examples of giving back to the community.

They have supported the Community Foundation of Dutchess County, Hospice Foundation, Inc., Dutchess ARC, Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, just to name a few and this year, to celebrate their 30th Anniversary, they are taking it a few steps farther. Feldman, Kleidman, Coffey, Sappe & Regenbaum LLP, in Fishkill, will mark the commemoration of its 30th anniversary with 30 Acts of Kindness in the local community.

Jeffery Feldman started the celebration this week by donating $7,500 to Family Services, which provides programs and services to youth, as well as crime, domestic violence and sexual assault victims. They will use the money to upgrade its facility in Poughkeepsie, to better reflect the high level of commitment the organization has to those it supports.
