A Hudson Valley man has been charged with murder after a 25-year-old was found dead at a sushi restaurant.

On Saturday around 3 a.m., the Village of Monroe Police Department responded to 20 Lake Street for a report of a deceased man with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was later identified as Louis Rivera, 25, from Monroe.

Following an investigation, 31-year-old Samuel Del Cid Hernandez of Monroe was charged with second-degree murder.

New York State Police and the Village of Monroe Police are requesting anyone with information pertaining to the murder contact the New York State Police Monroe at 845-782-8311 or the Village of Monroe Police Department at 845-492-8477.

State Police are working jointly with the Village of Monroe Police Department and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

Hernandez was arraigned in the Village of Monroe Court and remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.
