A woman who worked at a nursing home in the Hudson Valley pled guilty to stealing from patients.

Claire Wieland, 28, of White Plains pled guilty to one count of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony. Wieland was employed as a receptionist at the Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Route 9 in the Town of Livingston.

In Columbia County Court, Wieland admitted on various occasions between April, 23, 2013 and Feb. 6, 2014, she knowingly possessed and cashed a number of checks, drawn on the Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Patient Funds Account, which bore the forged endorsements of the recipients on the check.

As part of her guilty plea, Wieland will be sentenced to 1 to 3 years in prison. She paid $11,600 in restitution
Wieland is scheduled to be sentenced on June 20, 2016.
