Another Hudson Valley police officer is going viral for going above and beyond the call of duty.

During the afternoon on July Fourth, a Kingston police officer approached two men sitting on benches that face Broadway in Kingston. The benches sit directly in the sun and it was well over 90 degrees on July Fourth, police say.

Officer Baney then was seen by another Kingston police officer giving the men a bottle of water, according to the Kingston Police Department.

"A small gesture by Officer Baney that may mean much to them. Recognizing someone may not have the resources available to keep hydrated in this 90+ weather her action of reaching out to help them is a wonderful thing to see," the Kingston Police Department wrote on Facebook.

According to the post, Officer Baney did a similar act last year, giving water to a Kingston mail carrier who was "sweating profusely and appeared to be overheating."

"Officer Baney has a huge heart and cares for others. Talking to her about what I just witnessed she told me that during extremely hot days she carries a case of water with her and will stop out and hand one to someone that appears to be in need of it," the Kingston Police Department wrote on Facebook. "She even confided to me that she also carries a dog bowl for pups that she also encounters!"

Last week another Kingston cop went viral for how he treated children.
