A Hudson Valley school district is warning residents about scam artists claiming to be representatives of the school's athletic department.

New Paltz school district is advising their residents to beware scam artists who claim to be affiliated with various companies and posing as representatives of the New Paltz High School athletic department.

According to The Daily Freeman, callers have identified themselves as representatives of Skyline Publishing, Royal Publishing and Loyal Publishing. These companies do not have authorization to raise money for the districts's sports team's or anything else for the school district.

Residents are being warned not to donate any money or give out your credit card information. If these scammers contact you or your business, please notify the police immediately.
