Many Hudson Valley residents set up bird feeders in their yards. We are surrounded by nature and can enjoy small wild life on a regular basis even in cities like Poughkeepsie or Newburgh. One Poughkeepsie resident had two bird feeders outside their living room window and enjoyed making home videos of the different birds who paid a visit.

One day another example of Hudson Valley wild life caught sent of the bird feed and decided it wanted in on the feast. This squirrel clearly plotted a course to reach it's destination and the siege began. Crawling up the tree and steadying itself on the tip of a branch it was clear this squirrel wasn't going to stop until it reached it's reward.

Watch the video and be amazed at not only the distance of its jump, but how it reacts to seeing the human inside the window recording. Are Hudson Valley squirrels getting smarter?
