Hudson Valley Towns Named Among Top 100 Safest in America
The Hudson Valley is a great place to live and work. And, as it turns out, several Hudson Valley towns are among the safest in the nation.
Safewise is a company that provides home security solutions, they compile a list of America's safest cities each year. Eight New York towns have made this year's list, which include several from the Hudson Valley.
22. New Castle - Westchester County
50. Floral Park - Nassau County
66. Shawangunk - Ulster County
70. North Castle - Westchester County
72. East Fishkill - Dutchess County
SafeWise calculates their rankings using several factors. For the full list visit their website.
SafeWise carefully calculates its safety rankings by analyzing and weighting the total number of crimes of a given city in relation to its population and other significant factors. All American municipalities with more than 10,000 residents were considered. SafeWise then identifies relevant safety, health, and educational information and programs that help make each “Safest City” more secure.
