So far the area has enjoyed a milder than usual winter. Record high temperatures were felt across the eastern U.S. mid January. Will it last? According to IBM's the Weather Company, yes.

Temperatures should remain near, or slightly above normal for the Hudson Valley, and majority of the country. The only areas predicted to feel below average temperatures are the far north and midwestern parts the U.S. Weather.com says that a lack of El Niño and La Niña plays a factor into the forecast as we head into early spring.

Of course, February is often the season's coldest and snowiest month. This year it look like it will cool down across the Hudson Valley before warming back up. This could bring below average temps for the region at least in to next month. After that, we're expected to experience a slow warm up, and eventually get back closer to normal by March and April.

Always keep in mind, these forecasts are subject to change, especially this far out. There are also so many different weather models and forecasts that all seem to give conflicting reports, so take this with a grain of salt. Not that we're complaining about a mild winter.
