State Police say a Hudson Valley woman who was employed at a Dunkin Donuts stole over $25,000 in cash from the store she worked at.

In January of 2016, New York State Police from Cortlandt were dispatched to a Dunkin Donuts located on Albany Post Road in the Town of Cortlandt for a larceny complainant. A police investigation revealed that an employee, 36-year-old Jessica Vargas, stole over $25,000 from the store. Police allege the Cortlandt resident took the money from the store between December of 2015 and January of 2016.

Vargas was charged with 3rd-degree grand larceny, a class D felony. She was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. Vargas is due to return to the Town of Cortlandt Court on Feb. 5.
