Vote: Radiant Poughkeepsie Woman Vies For Inked Magazine Cover
A Hudson Valley resident has made her way to the top 5 of a national contest to be featured on a magazine cover, and we can help get her there, and also score a nice grand prize, too.
Help Poughkeepsie's Amanda Brandow to the Cover of Inked
For months, Amanda Brandow from Poughkeepsie has been working hard to spread awareness of her battle towards the cover of Inked Magazine for their 'Cover Girl' contest, and she's made it to the top 5.
With just a few days left to vote, Amanda is currently first in her group, and asking for the Hudson Valley's support.
My goal is to inspire women to always be true to themselves, and encourage them to let their unique personalities, creativity and styles shine.
If all goes well, and Amanda is voted as Inked Magazine's Cover Girl, she'll not only grace the cover following a shoot with celebrity photographer Christopher Kolk, but receive an exclusive tattoo session with Ink Master's Ryan Ashley, and also be the recipient of a $25,000 prize.

Poughkeepsie Resident Hopeful for Inked Magazine Cover Girl Contest
With the first-place group winner set to be announced this Thursday, March 14th, Amanda is excited about the potential of landing the Inked Cover Girl spot. Amanda has recently had to have multiple back surgeries, and the prize winnings would certainly help her get rid of some of the medical costs associated with the procedures.
If I were voted Inked Magazine's Cover Girl, I would pay off the remainder of the back surgery and put a down payment on my first home.
When it comes to her ink, Amanda's favorite piece is her "I love you" sign language skeleton hand which features handwriting from her grandma, reminding her that her grandma is always with her and that being unique is a beautiful thing.
My grandma always encouraged me to be myself, no matter what anyone else thought. When others were not accepting of my hair color, clothing, or tattoo choices, she was always there to remind me to not let the opinions of others hide my personality.
