Is it cool if I nerd out over a giant lizard?

A fairly serious argument broke out in the Schwenker household the other day. I had been rather emphatic about my extreme love of all the commercials for the new Godzilla movie. Which, of course, means I was talking about it on end and at quite an irrational volume.

The Mrs. finally came out and said something along the lines of "Haven't they made this EXACT SAME MOVIE about 8 times now?"

As I sat and spluttered, trying to come up with a cogent response, I immediately realized that WE would not be going to see this movie.....I would be going to see this movie.

And that's totally cool. People's tastes are what they are. But what about you guys?

Anyone as stoked as I am for a genuine Godzilla reboot, not some hacky Matthew Broderick attempt at pseudo-science fiction?
