Dave Portnoy Reviews Pipinelli’s Pizza Parlor in Poughkeepsie, Here’s His Score
Barstool's Dave Portnoy Stops By 3 Hudson Valley Pizzerias
Over the weekend of September 26th, 2026, Hudson Valley social media pages were buzzing.
Barstool Sports CEO and Founder Dave Portnoy was seen in the region. It seemed as if he focused in on Dutchess County and was doing a bit of a pizzeria tour.
We assumed it was all part of his One Bite series where "El Presidente" takes one bite (read: several) of pizza and gives it a rating.
One Bite is a huge success and is known to make small, local businesses skyrocket in popularity.
Portnoy was seen at the following pizza parlors in the area:
Hudson & Packard - Academy Street in Poughkeepsie
Pipinelli’s Pizza Parlor - Hooker Avenue in Poughkeepsie
Mommò Pizza Napoletana - Robinson Street in Fishkill

One Bite: Dave Portnoy Rates Pipinelli's Pizza Parlor in Poughkeepsie
First up on the One Bite review is Pipinelli's. Located at 256 Hooker Avenue in Poughkeepsie, Pipinelli's opened back in January of 2025.
While it's fairly new to the area, it's been getting rave reviews from locals and visitors alike.
Portnoy stars his Pipinelli's review with a Moobie "Sit on it!" mention (IYKYK) and then dove right in.

"Looks good right? A very traditional football pizza. Good crisp I could tell right there. I could tell just feeling it I was gunna like the undercarriage."
Portnoy takes his first bite, then his second ( of the crust, of course), then a third bite and said after a brief pause "Good!"
He explains that he has to take slow bites due to biting his tongue the day before. Then the camera man proceeds to zoom in to the bottom of Portnoy's tongue.
Weird. But confirmed the bruised tongue. Anyway...
