When you think about serial killers in the Hudson Valley, especially if you're thinking about the early 90s, you probably think of Kendell Francois, right?

But did you know another serial killer was terrifying the Orange County, New York community around the same time?

Nathaniel White's Terrifying Murder Spree in Middletown, NY

From March of 1991 until July of 1992, Nathaniel White took the lives of 6 Hudson Valley women. Some of whom he knew personally, others he met in bars or were walking alone on the side of the road. Another was attacked in her own home.

29-year-old Juliana Frank of Middletown was White's first victim in March of 1991. Frank was pregnant with her 3rd child when she was killed.

Christine Klebbe was the niece of White's girlfriend Jill Garrison. On July 1st, 1992 the young girl's family reported her missing, she was found over a month later near Echo Lake Road in Goshen.

Klebbe was also the youngest victim of White's killing spree at just 14 years old.

Days later White killed Garrison's good friend Laurette Huggins Reviere in her Middletown, New York home.

On July 20th, 1992, Nathaniel White met cousins Angelina Hopkins and Brenda Whiteside at Blue Note Tavern in Poughkeepsie New York. The 2 women were last seen getting in a truck with White. Their bodies were later found at an abandoned farmhouse in Goshen on August 4th.

White's last victim, Adriane Hunter, was found stabbed to death on July 30th, 1992. Her body was found later that same day near Hillcrest Manor Restaurant.

Nathaniel White Caught By New York State Police

According to Wikipedia sources, White was found shortly after Adriane Hunter's body was found.  They explain that the New York State Police began their investigation after Hunter was found.

Detectives "began to suspect it was related to the earlier disappearance and murders."

Nathaniel White then returned to Blue Note in Poughkeepsie where he was identified and arrested.

Movie Inspired Nathaniel White's 1st Middletown, NY Murder

According to reports, White committed his first murder after watching a specific scene in the film RoboCop2 which was released in 1990. White is reported as saying:

 "The first girl I killed was from a 'RoboCop' movie... I seen him cut somebody's throat then take the knife and slit down the chest to the stomach and left the body in a certain position. With the first person I killed I did exactly what I saw in the movie."
