Police Officer Wins Award in New Paltz, NY
According to the New Paltz Police Department, one of their own is being recognized in a big way. Officer Tiffany Claud has been named Ulster County’s 2025 First Place DWI Officer by the Ulster County STOP-DWI Program.
The department even gave her a shoutout on social media, pointing out that she leads the department in DWI enforcement and is constantly working to keep impaired drivers off local roads. And that’s really what this comes down to.

Yes, there are numbers involved, but this isn’t just about how many stops or arrests are made. It's about stopping something really bad from happening before it ever has the chance to. Every impaired driver taken off the road is a situation that could have ended a whole lot worse.
Keeping New Paltz Safe
Officer Claud has clearly made that a priority, consistently putting in the time and effort to patrol the roads in and around New Paltz. Being named first among all municipal police agencies in Ulster County says a lot.
It shows consistency, awareness, and a real commitment to doing the job the right way every single day. Congratulations, Officer Claud, on a job well done!
