Hudson Valley Theater Introduces Exciting New Souvenir

We all love getting our hands on some fun souvenirs that represent the Hudson Valley! Some of our favorite, local businesses now offer merchandise and accessories.

Popular venues such as Newburgh Brewing Company and Bethel Woods offer their merchandise. Stewart’s lovers can also rock their beanies, reusable shopping bags and more.

We can now look forward to picking up a souvenir from another one of our favorite theaters, the Bardavon.

The Bardavon has been a staple within the Hudson Valley community. This Poughkeepsie, NY theater is also referred to as the Bardavon 1869 Opera House and it was incorporated in the 1970’s.

Not only can we visit this theater to see some of our favorite shows but to also reflect on its historical background.

The Bardavon shared,

"Our namesake theater is the oldest continuously operating theater in the state, one of the oldest in the country."

They also mentioned that they are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Who Visited The Bardavon In Poughkeepsie, NY?

The Bardavon has been visited by prominent members of society. In the past, events such as lectures, rallies and more were once at this theater.

These events included Mark Twain, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Theodore Roosevelts who made appearances there.

Also, Eleanor Roosevelt and Andrew Carnegie were also visitors of the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie, NY. I love this!

The Bardavon made an exciting post on social media. They highlighted their new souvenir that we can grab. The Bardavon mentioned,
