Three from Vermont are facing felony drug charges thanks to K9 Cahill. 

State Police stopped a Jeep that was traveling northbound on the Taconic State Parkway for speeding.

The investigating trooper observed the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and conducted a lawful search.

With the assistance of K9 Cahill, the vehicle's occupants were found to possess  Ketamine, Cocaine, suboxone, marijuana wax and marijuana.

Troopers arrested   Kwesi C. Wilson, 32,  of Londonderry, Vermont, John C. Watson, 25, of Bennington, Vermont, and Chelsea A. Alexopoulos, 24, of Pawlet, Vermont.

Wilson, the driver of the vehicle (pictured top left) was charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a felony,
  • Speeding.

Alexopoulos (pictured bottom left) was charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance 5th degree
  • 2 Counts Criminal possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana

Watson (pictured middle) was charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

All three defendants were arraigned and remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, or $15,000 bond. they are due back in court early next month.
