Kingston Man Sentenced to Prison for Raping Minor
A Kingston man will serve jail time after he was convicted of raping a minor in Kingston on January 1, 2015.
According to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, in the early hours of January 1, 2015, 34-year-old Durwin Ennist, AKA “Charms”, of Kingston, engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old victim on Clinton Avenue in Kingston.
Ennist was sentenced in Ulster County Court Tuesday for his conviction to 2nd-degre rape. Ennist received a sentence of five years in prison and ten years post-release supervision.
Ennist is required to register under the New York State Sexual Offender Registration Act for at least twenty years. In addition, a full “Stay Away” Order of Protection was issued for the victim until 2039.
Ennist was also ordered to pay $1,425.00 in court fees.
