Summer is officially here, which means vacation is a hot topic of conversation. A popular vacation destination for many is a quick road trip up to Lake George.
Lake George Expecting Many Visitors This Vacation Season
This year Lake George should get ready for an influx of visitors.
The website Lake.com dug into the data and crunched the numbers to determine which of the most popular lakes will expect the highest amount of visitor traffic this vacation season.
To collect their data Lake.com analyzed "Google search volume data across 28 of the most popular lakes in North America." They specifically focused on search terms like “best time to visit [lake]”, “visit [lake]” and “when to visit [lake]”.
According to their research Lake Tahoe in California and Crater Lake in Utah took the number 1 and 2 spots. Coming in at number 3... Lake George.
Lake George Hits Online Peak in July
Lake.com reports that Lake George "ranks third with 648 monthly searches." The site also reports that all the lakes on the list see a spike in visitors in the month of July.
Lake George hits it's peak in July, with searches spiking to 1,470.
