You thought you had the winning number? You were already counting your dollar bills. Only to realize, that once again, you were "robbed".

This guy in Canada has been trying to prove for almost 7 years that he is entitled to half a big jackpot. In fact he has been trying to prove it in court that he should have the money. But the court says it all comes down to a vital seven-seconds.

That is what is separating him from getting part of a lottery jackpot worth more than 20-million-dollars.  Reuters reports that Thursday, Canada's Supreme Court ruled that the man can't collect the lottery winnings, even though he had the winning numbers to a "Lotto Super Seven" drawing back in 2008.  Apparently, the man asked for two tickets just before the 9:00 pm deadline.  While one was printed at 8:59, the second ticket -- which had the winning numbers -- came in just seconds after 9:00, meaning it was only eligible for the next week's drawing.  He sued the lottery after being denied half of the jackpot.
