It's no secret that the Hudson Valley is full of history, but this is just getting ridiculous.

From George Washington's headquarters in Orange County to Eleanor Roosevelt's grandmother's house in Dutchess County, there's plenty of historic landmarks that go back hundreds of years. One farm in Ulster County has them all beat.

Ulster County, NY History

Ulster County's history traces back to Dutch settlers in the 1650s (the first county clerk was established in 1671). The town of Accord, where the storied farm is located, was founded decades later in the early 1700s.

Since the 1700s, many historic landmarks have changed in Accord. The train station was converted to an Airbnb, and Hollywood actors have either rehabbed old homes or built fancy new ones. At least one institution that has stood the test of time, however, is Saunderskill Farms.

Saunderskill Farms Celebrates 345 Year Anniversary

"This is our 27th season as a farm market AND 345th year as a family farm!", Saunderskill Farms recently posted on Facebook (below). The milestone was so impressive, it almost sounded fake.

Saunderskill Farm Is New York's Oldest Business

Saunderskill Farms is recognized as the oldest continually-running business in New York State. The land has been in the Schoonmaker family since 1663, and has been farmed since 1680 (thus the 345 year anniversary). In recent years, the farm has been thoroughly modernized.

While the farm might be nearly 350 years old, Saunderskill's beloved farm stand (which includes a bakery, lunch options, and a greenhouse) hasn't even turned 30. They also offer pick-your-own options for berries, apples, and pumpkins as well as a corn maze in the fall.
