If you're looking for some romance you will definitely want to head to the Hudson Valley.

The Hudson Valley has a lot to offer...there are beautiful landscapes, stunning homes, a ton of cute stores and now it's home to some of the most romantic cities in the country. It's no real surprise, there are parts of the Hudson Valley that literally look like a scene straight out of a Hallmark movie and it's the perfect setting for love.

Creating a romantic evening can be done easily and it doesn't need to be a whole crazy production. Romance can be shown by going on a nice walk and hike, grabbing a great cup of coffee together, enjoying a nice cocktail or beer, shopping, seeing a movie, exploring a new town or more. Some people think you need to be in a huge city like New York City or Boston to really get romance, but that's not the case there are many smaller places to visit/are easier to get to and you'll still get the same result. It really doesn't need to be anything wild, it's really more the thought that counts and the Hudson Valley has all of this.

According to a new study, some of the most romantic places in the country are right here in the Hudson Valley. The study asked about 3,000 couples to find out what lesser-known spots they plan on checking out to enjoy some romance. The Hudson Valley came in pretty strong and here's how it ranked on the list:

#23 HUDSON:

Hudson has recently become a popular area to check out. It's located right in Columbia County and there are some pretty cute antique shops/restaurants and more to check out. Hudson, New York us a great spot to get the romance going.

#71 BEACON:

Everyone knows Beacon now....everyone LOL.  The Dutchess County location has really seen a big transformation over the past few years and there are too many cool bars/restaurants/shops and more here to count. You can have a ton of romance and fun in Beacon, New York.

#114 KINGSTON:

Kingston in Ulster County has gained a lot recognition over the past few years and the views of the Hudson River area beautiful. A lot of celebrities have been spotted in Kingston so you could celebrity watch LOL. There are also a lot of restaurants/bars/shops and more to check out in Kingston, New York.

Not only was the Hudson Valley represented on this list, but some other spots in New York made the list like Lake George came in at #92 and Saratoga Springs at #149. I think Lake George makes any kind of positive list when it comes to New York Lol. However, the sun really makes everything so much more romantic and fun lol..... the #1 spot is St. Augustine, Florida.
