Mumford and Sons Have the #1 Album in America

There was some question fans would embrace the new sound Mumford and Sons displayed on the new album. That question appears to be answered as they officially have the #1 album in the country.

In a era where CD sales have ground to a halt, Mumford managed to sell 231,000 copies in just 7 days. An additional 18,000 downloads were sold for a grand total of 249,000 units. It's the biggest debut week for a rock album in 2015 so far.

Mumford and Sons North American tour kicks off June 2nd in Brooklyn.
