The New York State Police have announced they are investigating a possible murder-suicide in Ulster County, NY.

The New York State Police (NYSP) are currently investigating an alleged murder-suicide at a home located on Highview Road in the town of Shandaken, NY, according to a press release.

Murder-Suicide in Ulster County, NY

Police said on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, at approximately 7:29 p.m., troopers from the State Police barracks in Kingston were called to respond to a report of two individuals who were reportedly unconscious and unresponsive at a residence located on Highview Road in the town of Shandaken, NY.

Upon arrival, troopers and officers from the Town of Shandaken Police Department entered the residence and found two unresponsive individuals in a bedroom.

Gruesome Discovery at Home in Ulster County, NY

Police said that they located a 68-year-old female, later identified as 68-year-old Deborah A Warren of Phoenicia, NY, deceased in a bedroom from an apparent gunshot wound. They also discovered 69-year-old Mark P. Braman, of Phoenicia, NY, deceased in the same room from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police didn't share any other details about this tragic incident but did say that their investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to the public at this time. They also asked anyone who might have any information regarding this incident to contact the State Police at (845)344-5300 and reference case #NY2501127457.
