
New York Cop Charged With Breaking Into Hudson Valley Kids Camp
A New York police office from the Hudson Valley is accused of breaking into and damaging property at a child's camp.

On Wednesday, New York State Police in conjunction with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Matthew E. McGrath of Middletown for breaking into and damaging property at the Camp Young Judaea on Sprout Lake Camp Road in the town of Union Vale.
Camp Sprout Lake is a co-ed Jewish sleepover camp for children in grades 2-8 located in Verbank.

McGrath, a member of NYPD who was off-duty at the time of his arrest, was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of criminal mischief, all class D felonies.
McGrath was arraigned before the town of Union Vale Court where he was released on his own recognizance to reappear before the court on October 6, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.
Police did not say when the alleged incident took place or release a possible motive.
