"I grew up in a family of eight children and she made the holidays magical for the whole family," Gay told the Albany Times-Union after setting a new record. "From Thanksgiving to New Years, it was like Grand Central Station in our house. It was very special to us."

The light display spans over two acres and takes months to build. The display includes over 200 songs with lights choreographed to certain songs.

Each year the light display is open to the public and serves as a fundraiser for charities across the Hudson Valley. Gay says they are on pace to raise around $500,000 this year.

Stacker hunted through internet resources, pop culture publications, and databases like Know Your Meme to find 50 different memes and what they mean.
