Popular Beer From Newburgh, New York to be Sold at CitiField
If you're 21 or older you can get a taste of the Hudson Valley at your next Mets game.
When you go to a baseball game you usually root for the home team but next time you go to CitiField in Queens you'll be able to drink for your hometown if you're from Newburgh. That's because a popular beer from Newburgh Brewing Company will be available for purchase there.
According to Baseball Scouter, anywhere between 6,000 and 17,000 beers are sold at a Major League Baseball game. Beer is big business at baseball stadiums and we're proud of our friends in Newburgh for representing the Hudson Valley all the way down in Queens.
What beer will be for sale and how do you get your hands on Newburgh Brewing Company cans when you're visiting CitiField?
"Cream Ale is indeed back at CitiField! The last time they sold cans of Cream Ale was in 2018, so it's nice to have the beer back.Last year we did have our Brown Ale available at CitiField, but we managed to convince them that Cream Ale would do better. We certainly love our Brown Ale, but doesn't have quite the same appeal on a 90 degree day in August. It'll be sold at the Craft New York Stands, which are the 2 beer stands inside CitiField that serve exclusively NYS brewed beer. They generally have 8-10 different offerings (not sure which breweries got their beer into CitiField this year)." - Paul Halayko, Owner
