Delicious hot fudge sundaes are available at a great price all week long at your local Stewart's Shops. If the price of $1.99 each wasn't amazing enough, you'll also be able to make your own sundae the way you want it with your choice from a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings including chocolate fudge, strawberry sauce, marshmallow, whipped cream or crushed peanuts. Remember, their ice cream is made from the best quality dairy from local farms.

If you know me, you know I have a massive sweet tooth, and ice cream from Stewart's Shops is at the top of my list of favorites. I already knew that Stewart's ice cream was in a class of its own here in the Hudson Valley and Upstate New York, but for me their greatness has achieved international status.

A week ago, I spent my honeymoon in St. Lucia at a tropical resort where I had unlimited food and desserts available but there was something that just seemed to be missing. My wife and I ordered the ice cream sundae from the menu, and it was unbelievably disappointing. When I think about it, I'm not surprised one bit. I guess it's what I get for deviating from greatness.

It didn't taste like a sundae from Stewart's Shops. It didn't taste like home.

Since I've moved to New York, I have grown accustomed to a certain quality of ice cream that only Stewart's can offer. There really is no better place in the Hudson Valley to get premium ice cream than at your local Stewart's Shops.

On our first night back in the Hudson Valley, we both made a point to make a trip to Stewart's for some ice cream. Yes, I got the Pumpkin Pie flavor. I missed the classic fall flavors that upstate New York is known for. Do you know how hard it is to find pumpkin and apple pie flavors in the Caribbean?

As we approach the holiday season there will soon be other great flavors coming to Stewart's Shops for a limited time, such as Eggnog and Peppermint Stick. A holiday hot fudge sundae has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? No one ever said that sundaes needed to be made with vanilla ice cream. All week long, you can get as creative as you want and Make Your Own Hot Fudge Sundae for just under $2.

I've learned my lesson and I'll stick to getting my ice cream locally, and you should too — all this week at Stewart's Shops.
