As the world has been waiting on the edge of their seats for the new Nickelback album (sarcasm) the band it's self has been on the 'Edge of Revolution'. I personally didn't know Chad Kroeger was a big political activist but apparently the ways of the world inspired the Nickelback frontman to write a track about all the unrest in happening in our country.

"The state of affairs in the world these days is so dismal. And I think that's where the song definitely came from."

In an interview with Yahoo! music last week Kroeger talks about how one day while watching CNN he couldn't change the channel because it all all so "depressing"

"While we were working, the [shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri] was a major story and there was rioting like crazy. So it definitely felt like the seeds of revolution were being planted."

You can hear 'Edge of Revolution' on Nickelback's new album No Fixed Address in stores now. Click here for the full story with Yahoo! Music.
