We're getting our list together, checking it twice, and looking for kids to participate in WRRV's Shop with a Cop 2021.

WRRV is teaming up with local law enforcement, local businesses, and you to help give kids in the community a very special Christmas. Here is how you can be a part of it and support a great cause.

There's still time to donate.

It's hard to believe but it's already November and the holiday season will soon be upon us and so comes another year where we get ready to help out kids right here in the Hudson Valley get presents.

A week before Christmas we will pair up a local kid with a local police officer and let them shop together at the Poughkeepsie Galleria with a gift card that can be used at any store.

We've partnered up with the Town of Poughkeepsie PBA along with Sherwood Tile and Granite and Profex Inc. in Newburgh to ensure that this year we help out more kids than before.

We're currently looking for kids to go shopping with the local officers on Saturday, December 18.

If you know a child who would benefit from this experience we would love to meet them and give them an awesome holiday that they will never forget. You can nominate a local child from here in the Hudson Valley by filling out the form below.

Nominees will be contacted by phone within the next few weeks.

LOOK: 50 famous memes and what they mean

With the infinite number of memes scattered across the internet, it's hard to keep track. Just when you've grasped the meaning of one hilarious meme, it has already become old news and replaced by something equally as enigmatic. Online forums like Tumblr, Twitter, 4chan, and Reddit are responsible for a majority of meme infections, and with the constant posting and sharing, finding the source of an original meme is easier said than done. Stacker hunted through internet resources, pop culture publications, and databases like Know Your Meme to find 50 different memes and what they mean. While the almost self-replicating nature of these vague symbols can get exhausting, memes in their essence can also bring people closer together—as long as they have internet access.

LOOK: Things from the year you were born that don't exist anymore

The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
