Seven New York State based productions have earned 16 Golden Globe nominations, created thousands of jobs and brought millions of dollars of income to the state.

According to the Governors office a special tax credit program has brought big business to the state and now those productions are receiving kudos from the Golden Globes. Those seven productions shot in New York City, the Mid-Hudson Valley and Long Island also brought over 13,000 new jobs to the state and generated more than $224 million dollars in spending.

“New York is home to some of the most iconic film locations anywhere in the world and these Golden Globe nominations are further proof that our entertainment industry is thriving, creating tens of thousands of jobs and injecting billions of dollars into the state’s economy in the process,” Governor Cuomo said. “I congratulate all the New York-based productions who were nominated for an award, and I encourage future filmmakers to build on the industry’s success and continue bringing jobs and investment to this state.”

I tried doing some quick research to find which productions filmed in the Mid-Hudson Valley and came up empty...maybe you fine detectives can do better. Below is a list of all the nominees. Let us know what you find!

“Manchester by the Sea”

“Mr. Robot”

“The Americans”

“Mozart in the Jungle”

“Divorce”
