The newest aquatic center to open in the Hudson Valley was set to open its gates this summer, but it looks like local residents will get to test out the facility even earlier.
Despite what felt like a lingering winter (with several false springs), temperatures are finally beginning to rise in New York. In Orange county, the changing season will come with a new option to cool down.

What's in Newburgh's New Delano-Hitch Aquatic Center?
The aquatic center will include a pool, splash park, concession stand, locker rooms, bathrooms, and a splash pad. A digital rendering of the facility takes residents on a first-person journey through the amenities (below).
While the official website for the City of Newburgh listed only an estimated opening date of "summer 2025", it looks like the project is slightly ahead of schedule. The pool was filled for the first time on April 29th, and the City of Newburgh just announced the date for opening weekend.

According to the official Facebook page of the City of Newburgh, the Delano-Hitch aquatic center will officially open to the public on Memorial Day weekend (Memorial Day in on Monday, May 26th). The pool is located at the corner of Washington Street and Route 9W in Newburgh, NY.
