Orange County Man Arrested After Stealing Dirtbike

An Orange County man is facing charges after police say he stole a dirt bike from a garage in Ulster County.

New York State Police from Highland BCI, charged 28-year-old Ricky A. Armbruster, of Montgomery with 2nd-degree burglary, a class C felony.

On April 3, State Police began an investigation into a report of a burglary in the Town of Shawangunk. Police were told an unknown person(s) entered an attached garage of an occupied residence and proceeded to steal a dirt bike belonging to an acquaintance of the homeowner.

Police say an investigation led authorities to Armbruster who was found to have stolen the dirt bike and then allegedly disposed of it prior to his arrest.

Armbruster was arraigned in the Town of Shawangunk Court and was subsequently returned to Ulster County Jail where he was being held without bail for unrelated charges.
