Marilyn Manson to Open for Ozzy Osbourne on 2020 Tour
When Ozzy Osbourne resumes his No More Tours 2 next year, he'll be joined by Marilyn Manson. The singer made the announcement in a press release earlier today.
Manson replaces Megadeth, who had been slated as the opening act when the original batch of North American dates were revealed in November 2018. But Osbourne's entire tour calendar for 2019 had to be postponed due to injuries sustained in a fall at his home earlier this year. Judas Priest will remain on the bill for the European shows, which will run from Oct. 23, 2020 in Newcastle, England until Dec. 7 in Helsinki, Finland. All the dates can be found below.
“Marilyn is killer live,” Osbourne said in a press release. “He’s so fucking out there, and if I think that, then look out, we’re all fucked."
“I’ve toured with Ozzy many times and it’s always been fucking spectacular,” Manson said. “I’m honored to do it again. This is one not to miss.”
Osbourne will be touring behind Ordinary Man, his first solo album since 2010's Scream. The record, which is expected to arrive in early 2020, features contributions from Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Osbourne has already released the first single, "Under the Graveyard."
"This album was a gift from my higher power -- it is proof to me that you should never give up," Osbourne said. "It all started when [daughter] Kelly comes in and says, 'Do you want to work on a Post Malone song?" he explained. "My first thing was, 'Who the fuck is Post Malone?' I went to [producer] Andrew [Watt]'s house, and he said we will work really quick."
