Former WRRV Sessions Headliner to Appear on Primetime Game Show

One of the biggest WRRV Sessions Headliners that we have ever had is going toe-to-toe with another legendary rock band on primetime TV, and I got all the information on how to root for them!

WRRV Sessions Headliner Papa Roach to Become Game Show Contestants

Papa Roach has been a mainstay on WRRV ever since they burst onto the scene in 2000 with their first single, Last Resort. 11 studio albums later, the band is back with their celebrated single, Leave a Light On, and they are made a very special appearance at Newburgh Brewing Company on Tuesday, May 28th earlier this year.

That same week, we were already planning on having Judah & the Lion perform on Thursday, May 30th. Having a week packed with two WRRV Sessions was not the original plan at all! It was literally so last minute; they called up the station a week before saying that they were in town and asked if we wanted to do anything. When Papa Roach comes knocking, you let them in!

Jacoby Shaddix, Jerry Horton, and Tobin Esperance were all on hand for an incredible unplugged performance of Scars, Last Resort, Leave a Light On, Last Resort, and more. The show was one of the highest-attended WRRV Sessions in history, with fans lining up hours before the show began.

This coming Tuesday, July 30th, you can catch Papa Roach go head-to-head with another one of my favorites, Daughtry, on Celebrity Family Feud hosted by Steve Harvey. The episode will premiere at 8pm EST on ABC. You can also watch the episode on-demand and/or stream on Hulu. They are all playing for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Also included in that episode, you can see legendary R&B/Soul group Earth, Wind & Fire Versus Country Artists The War & Treaty!
